Rescue and supply run to Texas

As most of you have seen on the news the Houston and Corpus Christi areas were hit hard by a strong Hurricane that caused wide spread damage and ongoing flooding. Many animals are stranded in the flood waters and a small group of use are going out to offer our help and deliver some much needed supplies to the area of Houston and where ever they send us once on the ground.  We are needing to rent a truck and trailer so that is what this page is being put up for. This amount will cover the cost for the rentals for 8 days along with the gas there and back. If anything is raised above the goal the funds will be used to buy more suppllies that are needed such as cases of water, bags of horse feed and so on. I know this is a lot to ask but as you can see in the picture posted in this ad and maybe what you have seen on the news or heard from people you klnow that are there it is bad and there are tons of animals in dire need of help and rescues there are asking for donations of supplies so we plan to do all we can to offer as much help as we can and to jump in and help rescue some animals and bring them to safety. We need your help in order to make this happen. We have a pretty large amount of supplies to load and deliver. This includeds canned pet food, dry pet food, kennels, towels, bedding, medical supplies, halters, lead ropes, leaches, collars, carriers, cases of water adn the list goes on and on.

Hello Everyone, My name is Toni Medina and I am from Tucson Arizona. I am very involved in animal rescue, education and helping communities get the help they need for the pets in those areas. I will be taking this suppy load of donated supplies (many of which came from local Tucson non-profit orginations such as local animal shelters, rescue groups, animal hospitals and many individuals of the community) I will be taking these supplies to the areas in need around Houston  Texas and giving them to the rescues and people in need as well as using some of them while searching for animals in need of rescue from the floods. I will be meeting up with NARSC (National Animal Rescue and Sheltering Coalition) and helping in the area that they assign me. I am not sure where that will be as of yet but hope to have what placement I will be assigned sometime tomorrow. We are going to hit the road Tuesday so that we can make our way in and around the most flooded areas. We also hope to have a small john boat or two that we can use to search and rescue animals and people if needed. The funds will be used for rentals, gas, to buy supplies such as horse feed, pet supplies that are needed, and possibly a couple of night lodging ( we really do not think that will be the case but a shower would be nice once or twice during our week long trip of wading in water and so on. The funds will be released to me and I will be the one in charge of making sure that the funds are used as stated.
