He was a 10 month old unidentified lughead when found as a stray in Tuxedo, New York by the Police in 2012 and brought to us at Warwick Valley Humane Society, a small animal shelter.
He still hasn't figured out how to be a dog although he certainly tries. His excitement level goes from one to ten in nanoseconds, making handling him a challenge.
He knows how to walk on a halti collar, but exercise time is restricted. He has been homeless and at our shelter for four long years.
The time has come for us to make the decision about his future. We have to let him go. We have only two choices. With your help, we can transfer him to a rehabilitation center where he will learn how to be a dog and be a dog with manners. Once rehabbed, he can be placed up for adoption and hopefully, one day, this year, will know what a loving home is for the rest of his life.
The other choice is euthanasia because without the rehab center, he simply cannot live in a cage the rest of his life, whether with us or in a sanctuary.
He needs love. He loves affection and he gives big kisses. He is looking to us to give him what he needs. He needs the rehab facility.
Please help us find a way to get him there. There is an opening in early March.
