Replace Finlay's Stolen Bike

On Saturday, June 10, I bought Finlay his first-ever brand new bike. It was a reward for all his patience while I dealt with an extremely busy schedule over the last few months. I wanted to use the extra money I made from those busy times to show him that hard work pays off. He was overjoyed and so surprised!
Three days later, he rode his bike to school and locked it on the bike rack. While he was in school, the lock was cut and the bike was stolen. He has taken it so well but is obviously devastated to have something so special taken so soon.
When I bought the bike, I got it at a sale price of $225.00 when it was regularly $500.00. It is no longer on sale but I called Canadian Tire (Grant Park) and talked to Scott, the manager who sold it to me. He feels terrible about the situation and kindly told me he would honour the sale price so I can replace the bike for the same cost!
My goal is $300.00 as I will be also be purchasing a heavy-duty U-lock to further prevent this from happening again.
