Repair damage to the RVS offices after burglary
Donation protected
Last night, 12 December 2018, thieves broke into the Batley office of the Royal Voluntary Service and stole cash and electrical items, damaging the building too. This is the office of a charity doing great work with our local older people, combatting loneliness and offering companionship, friendship and support to some of those folk often forgotten about in our local community. Batley , 2 years ago, lost their MP Jo Cox in tragic circumstances, and the RVS is one of the causes supported by fundraising in her memory. Let's dig deep and help them repair the doorway so callously damaged, and make it safe for the future with added security, shall we? Any surplus funds, after repairing the damage to the older people's centre , will be donated to the RVS for their work in Batley. We have had an amazing £250 anonymous donation which has been paid directly to the RVS team as well. You people are superb. Thanks so much.
