I am an educator, scholar, and advocate for undocumented/DACAmented youth and young adults. Every two years DACA recipients are required to renew their status with the federal government. This renewal process is often very costly and stressful for families. Currently, the cost for renewal is $495 and there are no options to waive the fee.
Since 2016, we have been able to been able to raise funds to cover application fees for all the DACA students we work with. Sadly, we were recently notified that this fund has been completely depleted. In order to continue providing this much needed support, I have established this GoFundMe page.
If you are able and willing, please consider making a donation in any amount to help support renewal fees for DACA recipients. I also encourage you to share this fundraiser with your family, friends, and networks. All donations with be used to cover fees related to DACA renewals.
