Help for Angel Soul

Jean LePre is a more than just a mother and a grandmother.  Jean has dedicated her life to opening up her home & heart to those who were in need of love and family.  Jean never had a child of her own, but she became "mom" to twelve adopted children of all different backgrounds and ages and created a beautiful life for them on Eastern Long Island. Together Jean and Frank fostered over a dozen children. Twelve children, some with disabilities, found not only a sense of belonging in Jean's home but they found permanent homes within her heart. The others have been reuinted with their families but still remain in contact with the woman who changed their lives for the better. Jean never turned down anyone who needed a place to stay or something to eat.  Her home became a safe haven for those in need and in turn became a place her children could grow and prosper in.  They grew up near the vineyards, taking care of horses, pigs, and chickens.  Her children grew up and had their own children.  Soon, 10 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids also roamed about the LePre home.  In her free time, Jean taught Sunday school while her husband, Frank, coached boy scouts.  15 years ago, Frank unexpectedly passed away. Leaving Jean to tend to her children and grandchildren alone.  Her beautiful home, once a heavenly oasis, became harder and harder to keep up with.  The yard overgrew, broken appliances stayed broken, and now, Jean's home is long overdue for some renovation.  Electric work needs to be done, one of the bathrooms needs to be gutted, cabinets are falling off, etc. 74 year-old Jean, who still teaches Sunday school, doesn't have the time or money to fix these things. And frankly, her pride wouldn't allow her to take away time and money from her grandkids for the sake of renovations.  We ask that you help someone who has dedicated her life to helping others, in the most genuine way possible.  We, her kids & grandkids, hope that we can give her back her home.  And we pray that you can find it in your hearts to help us do so.
