I'll be running my 1st ever Marathon in May this year. I know it's a scary challenge, but I figured that if I ever had to put myself through that pain, it will have to be for a good cause. So I'm running to raise funds for the Genocost.
The Genocost is a campaign that ensures that victims of the Congo War and genocide are never forgotten. This is a cause that is very close to my heart. I was born and grew up in the now war-torn DR Congo. I know people who have been affected by this war, and the least I can do is to raise awareness and funds for the Genocost.
I would really appreciate if you can donate any amount to help raise funds for this cause. The DR Congo conflict is the world's deadliest war since World War 2, and yet it is one of the most under-reported conflicts in the media. The Genocost raises awareness about this conflict and commemorates the millions of lives lost.
