Rebuilding the HVL Spillway Bridge

Hi! My name is Jamie. I'm a Girl Scout Ambassador and I am currently working on earning my Girl Scout Gold Award; this entails volunteering a minimum of 80 hours to a project that will benefit my community.
I've noticed that the bridge spanning the spillway between the Hidden Valley Lake dam and marina parking lot is in dire need of repairs. I determined that this would be my project and I set out to get the job done.
I plan to completely replace the bridge. By doing this, I can widen the bridge, allowing double strollers, wheelchairs, and bikes to cross, and I can lower the bridge to parking lot level, eliminating the need for a ramp or stairs on that side and shortening the ramp tremendously on the dam side. I plan to finish my project by the end of the summer, ideally in early July.
I have already raised over $5,000 and I am very appreciative of everyone who donated. Despite my success in raising funds, I still have a long way to go. The bridge is going to end up costing about $20,000. Any size of donation is very much appreciated!
