 MARSHFIELD, VT
In late March, Blackthorne Forge, run by Steven Bronstein, burned to the ground in a freak accident. The Forge has been a community centerpiece for over 25 years.  In order to rebuild and keep the business serving the Marshfield community, Steven needs to start from the ground up.  Expenses include a new structure and almost all new equipment.  While he is partially insured, there are many costs beyond what his insurance will cover.  Steven has been overwhelmed and touched by the outpouring of community support, but we wanted to create a more organized platform for friends and community members looking for a way to help keep Steve and Blackthorne Forge in Marshfield.

Your support is much appreciated.

From Steven:

The new shop is almost completed and I have all of you to thank for making it possible. After the fire I was a little confused about what to do, how to do it, and what were my first steps. Your generosity was incredibly important to me. Not only did it give me the financial help that allowed me the breathing room to collect my thoughts, the show of love and support was so incredibly helpful. To know that I was not alone gave me the reinforcement I needed to persevere. And now I am happy to report the new shop is almost completed. I will be having an Open House so that I can show it off to you. I hope you appreciate how much I value your kindness and concern when I needed it.

With Love,
Steven

I am an awed (sometimes odd) and loyal admirer of Mr. Bronstein's beautiful work. I placed an order on his website today and happened to run across the sad news of his shop's demise. I wanted to do a small part in contributing to the new shop's life. Wishing you the best of luck, Steven.

Steve is a great teacher and a mensch. My only regrets in donating are that I didn't do it sooner, and that I can't do more. <3
