On November 12 2015 I was given a diagnosis of breast cancer. Over the next week or so I would be given specific information to solidify this nightmare that would begin a journey I never expected. I have stage IIa, triple negative, invasive ductal carcinoma. Since this cancer is aggressive and rapidly growing, my chemo treatments have already started and will continue until the end of May 2016. Once all chemotherapy completed and no signs of cancer present, I will have a bilateral mastectomy sometime in the summer.
As most of you know, I am a very independent (often accused of being stubborn) young woman and it has taken a lot for me to even start this Go Fund Me page. However, I am now painfully aware of not just the emotional burden of cancer and this treatment plan, but also the financial burden, especially since I am uninsured. So in all of my stubborness, I have come to realize I can not do any of this without you. Your prayers, your calls, your texts, cards, words of encouragement and yes your financial support as well.
This go fund me account will be used for several things:
~medical treatment costs (chemo, medications, etc)
~living expenses as I am now out of work until chemo completed
~surgery/reconstruction
~any other unanticipated costs associated with cancer
