My name is Laney Kyle and I would like to share a special story with you! My good friends, Miranda and Edward, and their sweet kids, Honor and Baine, have been on a lengthy journey to grow their family for a number of years. With lots of hills and valleys, they have had an UNEXPECTED AND EXCITING turn in their story! Anticipating a potentially VERY short time frame to come up with full funding, I am starting this fundraiser in hopes of helping them along the way and want to share just a small part of their story with you all. ❤️
For those who do not know them well or at all, Miranda and Edward just celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary. Edward is active duty army Cavalry Scout and Miranda is an L&D/peds nurse and coach. They also recently founded a non profit organization that offers support and services for growing families biologically, through fertility services, and adoption. As a couple, they possess the God-given desire to grow their family in any way it comes to be without expectations of how it has to happen. They value blending families, homes, honoring cultures and family ties, and cultivating love. Their belief is that children are a blessing, no matter how a little one enters their family. Their journey to parenthood has been a long road. They spent several years trying naturally, followed by many different fertility treatments and procedures. All whilst praying so hard for children. Sadly, in that period they also lost 5 pregnancies with little answers. Along the way they began to explore adoption and completely embraced the possibility of building their family this way. They both have personal connections to adoption in their past and felt that their hearts were being called this direction and they followed God's lead. In 2015, they became proud parents to their son and daughter. Baine and Honor have brought them (and everyone who knows them) so much joy to their lives. Miranda and Edward both describe these two as the lights of their lives and are so excited to see them in big brother and big sister roles.
While adoption can be beautiful and a true testament to God's grace, I have learned from this family that it can be very hard for all parties involved and a lot more happens behind the scenes that many don’t realize. Beyond that, it’s also expensive with most adoptions averaging $40 to $65,000 per child largely due to legal and agency fees. They have had 5 adoptions fall through, which was very difficult for all involved and costly for them. While their hearts for adoption are wide open, they also honor the importance of biological relations and say they walk through this process with "only one intention - to love all." I am starting this fundraiser to hopefully help bridge some of the costs associated with a very last minute and unanticipated part of their adoption journey. I am also hoping for an abundance of prayers and petition of support as they continue to grow their beautiful family.
I would like to ask and encourage that you please keep all involved in prayer. This family is walking in complete faith without expectation here, and as you know, that is not always easy to do.
