Raising Carly

Hello Family & Friends!
We are in need of your help and prayers. As most of you know, we have been raising our niece, Carly, for the last 7 months. What joy she has brought to our lives. She has grown leaps and bounds in the amount of time we have had her. We now have come to a cross road with how to move forward in caring for Carly. I am going to be very transparent with you all. CPS (child protective services) has basically told us that they can no longer move forward because Carly is not in danger. Of course she's not, she's with us! They have given us 2 options, we could risk giving Carly back to her parents, to a potential dangerous situation, then contact cps to physical remove Carly or we can hire an attorney ourselves. The worse case senerios is they could show up and take Carly. After prayers and seeking wise counsel, Chris and I have decided to move forward with hiring an attorney ourselves in hopes to gain legal custody of Carly. We met with our attorney today and we were overwhelmed with the amount it will cost to proceed but we are trusting God, that if this is meant to be, there isn't anything that will stop us from moving forward. Our attorney sounded very confident in our case. Ya'll can I share how God has totally moved so far? Our attorney is a believer and said that he wouldn't charge us a retainer fee and he would work with us. Still this is such a big amount we asking for help with. If the Lord leads you to help, if not please share. Above all pray for us and pray for Carly. He cares about every single detail of Carly's life. We truly have peace about it!!
