Rachel & Jared Jacobus's expenses for Clara Rose

Rachel and Jared have been so great to publicly share their story about their pregnancy with precious baby girl Clara Rose and her terminal diagnosis of anencephaly.  

We are all heartbroken and so saddened for their pain. We ask "what do you need?" "How can we help?" So many people have already stepped up in such generous ways. But still many of us want to help, but we don't know what to do. We all certainly pray for God to give Rachel and Jared peace and strength to get through each day.  But maybe we can all chip in a little to help lessen the financial burden Rachel and Jared will soon face. 

With the birth, short precious life, and inevitable death of Clara Rose, Rachel and Jared will undoubtedly incur great expense that will only make the already heartbreaking situation that much more difficult. 

Please consider donating to help alleviate their burden. Rachel anticipates she will be induced in September and it would be great if we could take this worry off their plate. Here are some examples of expenses they already foresee: 

Daytime nanny for Solomon and Archer while Rachel and Jared are in the Hospital with Clara Rose: $1,000 total

Three meals a day while at the hospital: $15-30/meal

Gas driving back and forth to the hospital: $45 per tank of gas

Medical expenses: $6,000 (at least)

Burial and Funeral expense: $3,500

Rachel and Jared want you to know that any funds donated in excess of their expenses will be donated to a family in need at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
