Three Peaks Challenge 2016

Meet two extraordinary families..... the Smith's and the Cox's. For some of you who may not know... these 3 amazing children fight a battle every day and have done since the day they were born .

Reuben & Zachary Smith were born prematurely and within the first week of their lives Reuben suffered a severe bleed on his brain which left him with cerebral palsy. Haanagh & Mike were told he would never talk , walk communicate or recognize anyone... Well Reuben is showing those doctors who's boss and continues to prove doubters wrong!! Zachary contracted meningitis when less than a week old , which resulted in him losing his hearing and having developmental disorders, learning disabilities and requires numerous other medical investigations which are on going. They both currently attend whiteley primary school .

Maddison Cox.....a true little angel. Maddison has numerous medical conditions - so many in fact that she is one of the 6000 children in the UK with something called SWAN. Swan stands for 'syndrome without a name'. Maddison has had numerous operations and has spent so much of her life in hospital.

These children are my heroes.. true little super heroes!!
Natalie, Chris ,Haanagh & Mike (their mummies and daddies) are a true inspiration to me and many others having to watch their children be as poorly as they have been and knowing they aren't out of the woods anytime soon. However, both couples always have a smile on their faces, compassionate about how other's daily struggles are , when they are nothing in comparison to their's. They have to fight for their children's rights and acceptance daily.. whilst also finding the time and additional attention for their other children and each other, Reuben and Zachary's big brother Harry , and Maddison's little brother Taylor.

I really want to show these amazing families how much I/ we think of them ..by setting ourselves a 24 hr challenge - the Three Peaks Chellenge. This is to climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District then finally Snowdon in Wales. Ben Nevis will be first as it takes around 9-13 hours to get there, start the climb around 5pm be down by 10-10:30pm... Food and drink then travel to scafell pike arrive there and start climb for 4-5 am be down for 8:30 am. Next stop Snowdon arrive there for 1-1:30pm and be down for 4:30-5pm concluding our challenge in 24 Hours!!

Please help us by supporting our challenge - we are challenging ourselves physically to raise as much money as possible to help these families and give them the most precious things they could ask for... Memories. We are hoping to raise enough to send them away on a little holiday to make memories and spend time together away from drs and clinics and scary procedures. Time together is the best gift we can give these children. Thank you.
