Starting again

I am raising money on behalf of the victim mentioned in attached article. I know the victim personally, and have created this page in an attempt to replace some of the funds that were stolen from him.
It is heartbreaking to think he worked such long hours for all of those years and has little to show for it. In addition to the obvious financial loss, the betrayal of being taken advantage of by a member of your own family must be difficult to bear. The circumstances have had a negative effect on his mental health that will no doubt take a long time to heal.
It would be amazing if we can show him that not everyone in the world is so unkind. It would be great if we could help in a practical way by trying to replace a portion of the lost funds to enable him to purchase some of the items he had worked so hard to save for, such as a car.
