Family New Home Fund

This is our family's last resort - we have run out of options.  Ever since we lost our home back in 2008 we have been struggling to survive.  I have lost a few jobs over the years which always pushed us back on our bills so our credit has suffered severely.  We have been living in a home in Sandy Hook, CT since 2008.  We have been late with our rent on a few occasions, but my husband had started his own business which was doing fine for a while, but then he could not keep it going.  He could not find a job.  I had gone back to school with State Aid for Medical Billing and had been working in a Doctor's office.  Unfortunately December 1 I was fired!  I was only collecting under $300 in unemployment, which was not nearly enough for rent and other bills.  My husband finally got a job but late last year house painting.  This of course came to a halt in the winter.  So with no solid income we have fallen behind on our rent and are being evicted.   My husband does collect unemployment but only $40 week.   The weather has been so bad he is lucky if he gets one day a week of work.  We do not know when our court date is or how long we will have before we are forced to leave.  We have no money to move into a new house in our current area, but we are looking to move down South where it would be more affordable, but we would still need money for a house and moving expenses.  We have 3 children and dogs (which we do not want to leave behind).   In addition, my car needed some repairs which came to $2000 which I do not have.  Therefore, my car is fixed but I can't afford to pay for it and we desperately need two cars.  We are hard working people who have been dealt some very difficult times and are in desperate need to recover.  We hope you feel our pain and are compassionate enough to help us out.
