"OrangeCheesecake" An exhibition of Burton Street

THANK YOU FOR WATCHING OUR VIDEO!

My names is Daniel White and I'm a Project Worker at the Burton Street Foundation. I run art sessions for adults on the autistic spectrum and/or with learning difficulties.

We exhibited 6 artists works in the same gallery 2 years ago and now we have 24 artists that want the same opportunity.

Myself and the artists need £900  to rent a gallery within wheelchair distance of our service to enable our artist to engage with the wider community through their works. This will allow their pride and self confidence to expand and enable them to feel encouraged to engage with wider society.

35 Chapel Walk Artspace is an accessible gallery allowing the clients to come and view their work. Half the money covers the rental cost of the gallery and the rest will be spent on fixings and hangings. I will be curating and hanging the work myself to reduce the overall cost.
We have to pay the gallery in full the day the exhibition goes up which would be the 7th of April 2019 - our deadline.

We have collected a year and half's  worth of the creative output from these sessions and it would be disheartening for it to remain on site away from an audience or sadly be binned to make room for more output.

Thank you again! Please help us reach our goal and help the artists feel "proud" and "confident".
