Pensioners stolen funeral fund

He then took it upon himself to threaten my grandad with a knife whilst trying to get my grandads wallet from his shirt pocket. During the struggle my grandad tried to defend himself by hitting the thief with his walking stick but he was over powered by the thief and ended up on the floor. Therefore the thief was able to take the wallet containing £1500 which he had been saving for his wifes funeral who he lost in may this year to cancer.
Any help towards the replacement of the money would be greatly appreciated by him and his family.
