Hello! My name is Fernando Garcia. I am an artist and I currently live in Hartford, Connecticut. I received my associate’s degree in visual fine arts at Manchester Community College in 2012. Several months ago I applied to my dream art school, the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, New York in hopes to continue my studies in illustration. I am pleased to inform you I was accepted, however, I need help paying for tuition and school supplies. Since 2010 I have been exhibiting my art work in different galleries and venues all around Connecticut as well as staying active in the art community and networking. I gained a lot of knowledge studying at the local community college but have reached the end of that education. At the School of Visual Arts I plan to build on what the school has to offer and take full advantage of these opportunities. One of the main reasons I also chose School of Visual Arts is because it is in New York City, a mecca for the visual arts and where I believe I can grow and learn greatly from my surroundings as well as the schooling. I am currently saving up for the housing costs but the donations will all go towards tuition and school supplies. Although Financial Aid has helped me greatly I still need $6,000 to attend school. Besides accepting donations I am also selling any original art work for the fundraiser as well. I am aware that donors may be leery in regards to donating so I added a link to my website to prove that I am taking art seriously and to show my track record. Also I have added a copy of my acceptance letter to the School of Visual Arts to clear up any doubts. I greatly appreciate all of you who have taken the time to read my story and have either made a donation or shared this on other social media. If you have any question please contact me. Thank you again! I really do appreciate it! And blessings to all! www.Nandosart.com
Original art work is for sale as well on my website.
