On Oct. 19th, Tristan Skyy McMains sustained a near fatal injury in which a large portion of the right side of his brain was destroyed. His status was recently downgraded from critical, however the injuries he sustained were so severe that he is facing months in the hospital and more than likely multiple years of physical therapy. Almost all motor skill must be relearned. Tristan Skyy is such an amazing individual, and even at the young age of 13, is considered to be an anchor to so many people.
He is second oldest of five brothers, all who adore him. According to his brothers, they don't care what happened or how their brother may be different, they just want him home. The family has been in multiple battles in recent years, including advanced stage cancer and their youngest being born with congenital heart disease, requiring their newborn to undergo open heart surgery when he was just 6 days old. Their unshakable faith in the Lord brought them through those trials, as he will bring them through this one. They are certain. Thousands continue to pray without ceasing for this amazing young man and this tragic situation.
Tristan is special. He was born with an old soul and a young smile. He is mature beyond his years and is loved by many of his friends, cousins, and brothers. His closest friends from school are his world, and they have come forward and begged to be a part of his recovery. Harrison Morrow is leading the funding effort.
The family is so thankful for how many great people, young and old alike, love him deeply and unconditionally. He has a magnetic personality, built tall and strong, yet is always sensitive to others around him. He has never backed down from a challenge, this will be no different, of this we are sure.
