Moms for Moms

Hello,

I can not put this request in a simpler form; I NEED help.  I work with low-income mothers living with a chronic illness.  It is extremely difficult to secure financial assistance for an emergency.  I'm requesting assistance to help a young mother whose struggling financially.  This mother has two children and she is currently pregnant.  Due to medical complications, this young mother had to quit working.  Now she is extremely behind in bills and she has been without electricity for a month.  I can not go into greater detail due to confidentiality but please know I am a Licensed Social Worker and Oak Park/Lincoln mom.  I know what it's like to struggle like this. Just this past December I found myself working in a grocery store to make ends meet and I would do it again if needed to take care of my daughter.  I met many Oak Park moms last summer, while working in a River Forest based summer camp.  I'm only trying to raise $500.00 to reconnect the electricity service.  I would be more than happy to post receipts and/or discuss the matter in person.  If you could help me, help this mom I would greatly appreciate your kindness.  Thank you for your thoughts and loving gestures.
