Help provide the Child of My Dreams
Hello All,
My name is Kimberley and I am a graduate of Westminster Choir College of Rider University (B.M.) and Stockton College (M.A.). I am currently a public school music teacher of 17 years where I am blessed to teach choir, composition, music history, piano, and guitar to children in grades 5, 6, 7, & 8. On the weekends I spend my time as a church cantor and soloist for weddings/funerals for Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Linwood, NJ. In my spare time I enjoy creating jewelry, scrapbooking, or partaking in dance/yoga classes.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a strong desire to be a mother. After numerous failed attempts and losses, it appears that having a biological child is not God's intention. So I am now turning to adoption.
I am blessed with a career that I love, a nice home, an adorable and overly spoiled cat named Hermes, a loving and supportive family, and the best friends a girl could ever ask for, but I find one piece missing...a child.
As an independant woman, I am struggling to write this, but I am in need of your help. As they say, it takes a village to raise a child...I have the village, but not the financial means to obtain the child. Sadly, there are many children without a loving and safe environment. That, I can provide. But sadly, the cost of adoption is astronomical. It begins with the home study/inspection, initial paperwork, and then there is the adoption and lawyer fees. Most domestic adoptions range from $40,000.-$60,000. (Self below) whereas adoption from overseas tend to be more.
I am hoping and praying for a healthy young child of similar ethnicity (Infant to 2 years of age). Won't you please consider helping a young, educated woman unite with the child of her dreams?
Every little bit helps therefore, no donation amount is too small. For those of you that are religious, please keep me and my quest of motherhood in your prayers.
Currently, the fees for Adoptions from the Heart are paid to them as services are rendered. The adoption process, on average, takes aproximately 18 months.
As of now, here are the steps and fees in order.
^1. Application fee: $500.00
^2. Required Ed. courses: $450.00
^3. Home Study: $1,690.00
^ (Fingerprinting & Background checks: $ 65.45)
^ (add for church bulletin $374.40)
^4. Domestic Adoption Program fee: $6,000.00
^5. Video Fee $350.00
6. Home study renew: $ 740.00
7. Pre-Placement meetings @$100.00 per hour
8. Adoption court fees per state vary (aprox $4,000.00)
9. Placement : $22,000.00
10. Post placement reports: $3,000.00
