Bottled Water Drive for Flint!

Hi everyone, my name's Tapinder and I'm the President of the Healthy Detroit WSU Chapter(located in Detroit,MI).  The members of the chapter along with the brothers of the Sigma Beta Rho WSU Colony really want to help the citizens of Flint, Michigan in their moment of crisis. 

All funds raised will be used to purchase packages of water bottles from Costco. (Just $3.39 can get a package of 40 water bottles!!) From there we will transport the packages of water to Detroit District 4 Manager, O'Dell Tate's fundraiser - which is on Saturday January 30th, at Gina's Soul Food & Jazz in Detroit, MI, from 12pm-3pm. From there Mr. Tate, State Rep Brian Banks, and Councilman Andre Spivey have arranged trucks to transport the water to Flint, and directly to those in need! (Healthy Detroit has a good realtionship with District Manager Tate, who has helped organize the fundraiser we will be donating the bottles to.) 

We hope with your help we can gather enough funds to donate at least 5,000 bottles of water, and do our small part, to help our fellow citizens.  (Again, all funds will be used to buy packages of water bottles, which will be delivered to District Manager Tate's fundraiser on January 30th, and from there the bottles will be trucked to Flint for those in need.) Edit: Since it takes GoFundMe 4-7 days to make the funds available and our fundraiser is in 2 days, we will be purchasing $500 worth of bottles on a credit card, and use these funds to reimburse ourselves. (We will post the reciept and bottles purchased on Saturday) Thank you!
