Melissa Montoya Memorial Funding

Hi Everyone,

        My name is Connie Montoya and many of you know me as Melissa’s aunt. I was married to Anthony Montoya, who is Melissa’s uncle. Melissa lived with me several times. She is known for loving her hair and I can still remember the smell of her hair right now. She also made sure she had her perfume on and her shoes looking on point.

        It is with a very heavy heart that I'm asking for support and help for my niece’s burial. Melissa Montoya has passed away, on Monday January 18th 2016. Our family suffered a tragic loss. After speaking with her mother, I came to find out that she didn’t have life insurance.

           Melissa loved her family, friends, co-workers and basketball, especially her favorite team the LA Lakers. She loved Kobe Bryant! She was loved by everyone for her bigheartedness, sense of humor, bossiness :) and compassion.

          On behalf of Melissa’s Family, I am asking for all my family and friends to please help in any way that is possible to help cover these funeral cost. We are all in such a complete loss for words. To have this happen is just still very unbelievable and were just trying to wrap our heads around this.

       Our goal is to raise the $5,000, we are incredibly grateful for any donation you can make - $5,000 is a large goal, but is necessary to cover all the costs for the funeral to honor Melissa appropriately. Together we can make this happen - whether it's nearly 167 people donating $30 each, 250 donating $20 each, or friends and families pulling together to donate larger amounts to help us reach our goal. Again, any support is welcome and greatly appreciated.

        Thank you all and please say a prayer for Melissa’s family. Please share.

God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm.
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, but trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence, He hides a smiling face.
Blind unbelief is sure to err, and scan his word in vain;
God is his own interpreter, and He will make it plain.
