Homebound without Help

My brother Butch is my inspiration-his positive attitude over the years has been amazing in spite of his condition. As a person with Muscular Dystrophy, his life has been difficult to say the least. Our younger brother was also stricken with this horrible disease but died at the tender age of 11. Butch is totally dependent and cannot move any part of his body. He is doing pretty well physically with the help of caregivers, especially since the death of our parents. However, his financial problems are building and the stress of this is impacting his overall health. His handicapped accessible van driven by his attendant is almost 14 years old. The frame has been repaired and the mechanic says it won't last much longer. Another one costs about $60,000. His wheelchair is old and needs replaced and $2700 of necessities is no longer covered by insurance. Add to these issues, my brother has to hire an attorney to get a neighbor off the driveway who is blocking the right-of-way leading to his garage. Otherwise he is basically a prisoner in his own home. The police say they can do nothing because it is private property and say the only option is through the court system. The cost for this is estimated to be upwards of $10,000 according to the lawyer. I have been helping him as much as I can but we are both feeling overwhelmed. I am humbly asking for some assistance for my brother. My goal is $25,000 so we can make a down payment on a van and cover the wheelchair and legal expenses. Then his monthly payments on a vehicle would be manageable. Every contribution would mean the world to us and any amount would be sincerely appreciated.
