Help Fund DACA Renewals
***IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM PROTECTION FOR ALL***
We want to thank everyone who has shared and donated to our campaign to assist DACA recipients to renew their work permit and deferred action. There is no decision regarding the DACA program so we will continue fundraising. After various conversations, we have decided to partner up with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights to help us manage our fundraiser.
As undocumented people, we saw a need for financial assistance and decided to put our collective power together to raise over $35,000 and assist more than 50 DACA applicants across Illinois and other states. We will keep you all updated for future fundraisers in the coming days so we can assist as many DACA recipients as possible.

Protection for All Movement is an undocumented-led group of Chicago volunteers organizing to raise funds for the renewal fees of DACA recipients. Our goal is to help DACA recipients who currently qualify for renewal but do not have the funds to cover the renewal fee of $495.
Through our community’s efforts, our last fundraising campaign helped us provide financial assistance to 48 DACA applicants who would not have otherwise been able to apply for their DACA renewal. Collaboratively, our community and allies helped us raise almost $30,000.
Now, we are days away from August 8, 2018 when Judge Hanen will issue a preliminary injunction hearing in Texas v. Nielsen. Although we do not know if Judge Hanen will issue a preliminary injunction challenging the DACA program on that day, organizations are urging DACA recipients whose DACA will expire in 2018 or 2019, to renew before August 8, 2018.
Allies, we need your help. Your donation will help current DACA recipients in Illinois, prioritizing DACA recipients in the Chicagoland area, facing this SUDDEN financial hardship to apply for renewal of a two-year work permit and reprieve from deportation. All donations will ONLY go towards application processing fees. The first 15 donors to make a $495 contribution will receive a Protection For All t-shirt and a thank you note from Protection For All.
As soon as we have raised enough money to cover a DACA renewal application, we will release the application to the public. If you are a DACA recipient, please follow us on Facebook for UPDATES!
Please share our fundraiser with friends, supporters, and allies. You can also Venmo us at @protectionforall.
