Volunteering in Ecuador

Hey everyone,
I'm Pavithra Vasanthakumar, a second year student at Deakin University, studying Nutrition Science. I have been given the opportunity to volunteer with VESA (Volunteer Eco Students Abroad) and l will be travelling to the Amazon in Ecuador this year to take part in an important sustainable community development project.
This Program helps to provide remote villages with bathroom/toilet fascilities, restoring the local villages school facilities and teaching English to primary school children.
The funds raised will help with the costs involved in participating in the program. These costs are significant and include hiring local skilled trades people to supervise and assist in the building projects, building materials and donations to local organisations.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and even the smallest contribution will be greatly appreciated!
