Pulling weeds for school supplies

Since I’ve moved into my new house a young middle school aged boy has come knocking on my door everyday asking if he can do yard work for “a few dollars” (He offered to mow my front and back lawn for $5). Upon talking to him about knocking on strangers doors, I found out he’s trying to save up money for school supplies because he doesn’t have / can’t afford any. He doesn’t have a phone or any school clothes either.
I’ve started getting him school supplies and some new clothes, just enough so school doesn’t SUCK with the little bit of money I can spare because I just moved into a new house.
 
Upon meeting his parents I found out they don’t currently have electricity or water and are going through a very tough time.  He has 5 siblings total, 3 of them under one roof.
