Puerto Rico Farm Solidarity Trip

Cuir Kitchen Brigade is headed to Puerto Rico again in MARCH ! This time we are providing resources in the form of labor and some canning workshops, we will be visiting and working on several different farms primarily a QTPOC land project called finca flamboyánT. Everyone participating in this endeavor is a Q/T/POC
These funds will cover:
$2,500 - Transportation for 7 people for 2 weeks (Flights, a rental vehicle and Gas)
$1,200 - Food for the brigade for 2 weeks, we will primarily be cooking and purchasing produce from local farms as a way to contribute to the local economy
$2,000 - materials for building a platform for a cistern, wood for raised beds, soil and other costs relating to the planting of a 100 sq ft plot. that will grow food to feed QTPOC on the land as well as individuals in the community of Sabana Grande.
$1,000 will be to support 4 different farm projects that we will also working with.

The rest of the $7,000 are to cover the cost of the fees for GoFundMe. Anything else donated to us will go directly to supporting other projects on the Islands of Puerto Rico.
Cuir Kitchen brigade has been supporting many individuals in frontline communities in the past 2 years, and we couldn't have done it without the help of our community. Thank you to everyone who continues to support us. We continue our mission to be in solidarity with Puerto rico as well as other frontline communities.
CKB is a food/agro project here in NYC that is in solidarity with Puerto Rico's sustainable agroecology movement. CKB originated from the reality that colonized people in PR have to carve out their own space due to queer/transphobia and machismo in our society. We support a food sovereign, debt free, independent Borikén!
We need these funds in the next month in order to book our flights, anything you can give will help!
