Meet the Mcritchie Family of Virginia Beach. We are raising funds to help this special local family and their son, Noah. Noah is 18 years old and was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2003, at the age of 5. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a disease that causes progressive muscle weakness. DMD currently has no treatment and no cure.
Noah once was a more physically active boy who enjoyed playing sports, but by age 9 he was no longer able to walk. Growing up in a wheelchair led to severe Scoliosis which was resolved in 2013 with a spinal fusion surgery. This surgery helped to save Noah's life, but left him without the ability to feed and care for himself.
This fund will help pay for a bathroom rehab project to give Noah a new handicap accessible bathroom at his home, along with any other crucial items he may need to make life more comfortable and continue to fight this debilitating disease. Your donation will help support Noah and his wonderful family. Together we can make a difference for the Mcritchie Family. Together we can make this miracle possible.
