Whites Lost Everything in Fire

The evening of Monday January 11th, Rachel and James White came home and opened the door to smoke pouring from their home of 18 years. Neighbors began to run inside looking for their two small terriers, but the little ones were unresponsive to their voices. Their 12 year old, Blussy died in the fire with her brother Mountain not leaving her side.



Rachel and James were not able to recover anything from the fire and lost countless pictures and sentimental personal belongings from their lives together. Rachel says “the feeling is indescribable to literally be starting over in life having lost everything. I would have never ever imagined this would happen to us.” To move a new home on the property will cost at least $25,000. This GoFundMe account will go 100% towards the cost of the new house and this is just a small fraction of the pieces they have yet to clean up and the emotional restoration that will have to happen. They have expressed so much gratitude and humility for the Boiling Springs community who has surrounded them in love.
