I'm starting this gofund me account for Samanth and sweet Preslee. As a lot of you know, Sam is a single mother of 4. Her youngest, Preslee, was diagnosed with a rare gene mutation in the EEF1A2 gene at the age of two. This mutation is known for intractable seizures that do not respond to medicine, chronic respiratory issues and severe delay. Preslee has a long list of medical issues, gtube, wheelchair bound and non verbal. They have lived in the hospital on and off most of her almost 5 years of life. She has had several hospital stays just since this past August. Internal bleeding, respiratory illness and is currently in PICU fighting for her life after going into respiratory failure last Wed. night..due to RSV bronchiolitis and bacterial pnuemonia and had to be put on a vent and has been sedated since. Her co2 blood gas is high, she has severe edema, kidneys are not wanting to empty even with a catheter so she is on two diuretics.

Sam will not leave her side at all. Samantha's family has been taking care of the other three children, and providing food and whatever else they may need. Which in this day and age, we all know how expensive it is to provide food for the table and/personal items. Preslee's birthday ( Wednesday) will be spent in the PICU. If you find it in your to give a few dollars to this family of 5, They would be forever thankful. Because of Preslees birthday on Wednesday, if there is anyone who would like to donate a gift or card to Preslee then I will come by and get it from you, to take to Sam and Preslee.
