After 18 days without communcations, I finally received text messages from my mother, coming in every 3 to 4 hours. The text messages were dire, as she mentioned that it was chaos, and that FEMA or Municipal Mayors were not distributing food and resources to specific areas. This GoFUNDME is established to buy and package resources such as food, medicine, bug repellent and all essentials to the people of Aguirre and Salinas PR. We will do our best to send care packages directly to families through the USPS. They will also distribute the items to the elderly that need it in such a historic neighborhood. If you do not feel like donating money, there are other ways you can help as we can give you addresses so that you can send the items yourself if you feel more comfortable that way.
