Power of a Preemie!

On June 9th 2016, Sebastian Jamarrcus Hosier and his twin sister Trinitee Jewel Hosier were born to parents Terrail and Jamaar.

The twins were born prematurely at 26 weeks gestation 4 minutes apart. Sebastian weighed 1lb 14oz and Trinitee was 1lb 10oz.

After a short fight, God decided that he had greater plans for Sebastian and he was called back to Heaven. Trinitee continues her fight in NICU. She's very strong and has a personal angel watching over her...watching over us.

For the past 6 weeks, we've experienced every emotion possible. We have grieved, mourned, been angry, happy, depressed, sad, and even at peace at times. Its hard to grieve one child and yet try to be happy for another. It's stressful to only have one incubator in NICU when it was supposed to be two. We have a long road ahead of us  with only a hopeful release date months away!

There are so many support groups to help with grieving but not really those that offer financial support to other families in situations like us. I want to remedy that by starting a non profit organization in honor of Trinitee and Sebastian.

The costs associated with having a preemie in NICU begin around $500,000 andonly become more expensive to excesses of $1M.  That doesnt include the expenses for funerals, cremations, breast pump rentals, food, child care, hotels, gas, and a host of things that people don't think about if you're not in this situation.

Many are not prepared for these costs. We would like to fill that void and help as many as we can and spread education through the foundation about preemies. Help us to be a blessing to others as we continue to grow through our own challenges and the daily fight and support of our daughter. The NICU is a revolving door, too many babies are born too soon.

This foundation will forever be a passion for us as our lives will never be the same having being touched by..... the Power of a Preemie!!
