For the past two years, I've had the humbling honor of being a runner for The Hope Express and raising funds for children with pediatric cancer as part of the THON dance marathon at Penn State in hopes of finding a cure. This year, without The Hope Express, I told myself that I needed to take action and do something.
So, here I am. Over the next 3 months, I plan to embark on a journey of running 500 miles and raising $3000 for the kids. These runs and blog have 3 core values: hope, love, and happiness. HOPE that we will find a cure one day for this disease, LOVE for those fighting continually and those that have lost, and HAPPINESS for the world around us that is in need of inspiration.
In addition, during the month of November, for every $100 I raise, I will send 25 cards to local nursing homes for those who need some additional love and inspiration. Together, we will keep HOPE alive.
