NEW Farmers Market Kids P.O.P Club

For the past three seasons, the Notheast Washington Farmers Market has enjoyed sponsoring the POP Club in Colville.  We have watched our 5-12 year olds learn to shop at the Market, empowering them to make healthy food choices and appreciate fresh, local produce.  We now have over 500 children of that age group participating and many more younger ones looking forward to becoming a member when they attain the age of 5. These children bring an excitement to the Market and we enjoy watching them learn the Power of Produce.

Unfortunately, the success of the POP Club has exceeded the Market's ability to fund the program.  After the initial grant of $5000.00 from Empire Health Foundation and a $1000.00 grant from Kettle Falls Horizons, the Market has been funding the program on it's own.

At this time, we are asking our community and families to contribute to this important, exciting children's program.  Remember, all monies collected will be coverted directly to tokens for the children's purchasing power; there are no administrative fees associated with the POP Club program.

Let's continue to keep the red bags as a symbol of our community support.  Thank you for your help; it's our children who will benefit!
