P!nk: Glasgow June '19 - Fundraiser for SANDS

Earlier this year, two of my very dear friends Fiona and Pamela received the devastating news that their baby had stopped developing at 30 weeks. A few days later, Fiona went through labour and their little girl Katie was born sleeping. In that moment, their future plans and the lives changed significantly. 

This is quite frankly an unimaginable situation and their strength through the intervening months has been remarkable. October marked Baby Loss Awareness week and they posted about their experience on Facebook and asked friends to look up the charities that they have relied on through the darkest of times. These charities were SIMBA, and this one, Sands. 

So many families are touched by the loss of a precious baby and these two charities work alongside the NHS to offer support when they need it most. Fiona and Pamela have said that without the outstanding care from their midwives and the help of these charities they would have been lost when trying to make the most difficult of decisions.
