Keiths Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
My name is Katie from Kennewick, WA. I am here trying to help some very dear friends of mine, Keith and Sandy. They have always been family to me, and this has been devastating news for all of us.

On December 7th Keith was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. We have later found out that it is small cell Carcinoma and has metastasized into his bones, and brain. This is a very fast moving, aggressive cancer. It has taken its toll, not only on him, but his family as well.   However, he seems to stay very optimistic. Doctors have suggested 6 months of chemo every 3 weeks for 3 days with radiation in between.  He just finished his first round of Chemo this last week, and has his first radiation consult tomorrow. This last month of tests, scans, needles, poking and prodding hasn’t been fun for him to say the least. He’s been battling lots of pain, loss of appetite, nauseousness, weight loss, and a whole slew of other symptoms. They are trying to keep him comfortable, while loading him full of pain meds. He has maintained his sense of humor through it all, despite all the challenges!

Keith is 51 years old and has a beautiful wife Sandy whom he’s been married to for 27 years. Together they have been blessed with 3 amazing sons and a surrogate daughter, Damon (24), Matthew (20), Seth (14), and Victoria (17) and have an amazing support system of family and friends. However, losing an income in a two-income household has taken its toll. Keith has been out of work and will continue to be for some time. Sandy has had to miss a lot of work to travel from Othello to Kennewick with Keith for his hospital visits, it’s all just getting started, and medical bills are adding up very fast!

We know not everyone is in a position to give, but every donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will help ease the financial burden as he fights this horrific disease. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. From our family to yours, we thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of our hearts! May your blessings help comfort them through these trying times!
