A GLOBAL LEGAL EMPOWERMENT PROJECT
Having participated in volunteer work in Morocco 2 years ago, I've now set my sights on Honduras to delve into the world of legal aid, alongside the generous charity, Global Brigades .
As part of the Global Legal Empowerment project, we will provide free legal advice and assistance to a population otherwise too poor to afford this access to justice, as well raising the population's awareness of their human rights.
For context, the average farmer earns $10 a month, with the price of a lawyer in Honduras costing $250+. These costs, alongside transport to urban areas, are outrageously unaffordable, and therefore it is our goal to attempt to alleviate this issue.
The money raised will help fund my travel, food and accommodation. All donations are greatly appreciated. No donation is ever too small!
