Ashtray for Pinole Creek!

We are the Pinole Valley High Earth Team and we are 14 high school students who care deeply about the natural world. We have been working hard this school year to restore and protect Pinole Creek,  and have found that litter is the number one issue harming Pinole Creek.  After conducting numerous litter surveys we were saddened to discover that cigarette butts were the number one item improperly disposed of around the creek. Cigarettes butts take 10 years to decompose and can cause harm to not only species residing in the creek but species living in the SF Bay and Pacific Ocean. Help us keep these cig butts out of our creek! We are hoping to install and maintain a large industrial size ashtray near the densest area of cig littering.  With your donation we can make a difference! Be the change you hope to see! Thank you!
