Perk Up Espresso Royale

Espresso Royale is a unique spot on Magill Rd. It's not one of the numerous hipster food cafe spots, or a high end coffee fix. It's a place where 'how you going?' actually means, 'sit down and tell me what's happening in your life'. It's a place where the owner apologises when he can't escape making coffees to give you a hug of greeting.

In a world where Crazy Busy is seen as a badge of honour, where seemingly every bit of news is negative, and anything old is being replaced with new and shiny, Espresso Royale is a welcome relief. Simple food using herbs from the garden and a zero waste policy that isn't advertised but has been followed for years; tasty fairtrade coffee that's made with love; and an owner who dedicates every waking minute to keeping this safe haven running. 

However, with the regentrification of Magill Rd, not to mention 8 weeks of festivals, our beloved Espresso Royale is struggling. Anthony and his team dedicate endless hours to creating a safe, welcoming space for any and all who walk through the doors. 

I have started this campaign because to keep the doors open, we need $2500 to cover (the ever rising) rent and expenses. Any amount will help Anthony and Espresso Royale's beautiful crew.
