Donate for the paediatric call centre PEDITEL 1791 - Romanian nationwide 2015!
The NGO „Fundația Părinți din România” (Parents of Romania Foundation) implemented first paediatric call centre in Romania! The service is called PEDITEL and parents can access it by calling the short number 1791 in case they have a medical emergency with their children. A doctor the phone 24/7, offering medical guidance and confort to the parent, helping to deliver medical care to their child, before arriving to the doctor. If there is a serious emergency, the doctor will send an ambulance to the patient, and confort the parent by guiding through those rough moments.
This call centre started in January 2014 in Cluj Napoca, at the Children Hospital as a pilot-project and it is available for parents from Cluj county, at the moment. After 6 months of activity, we have had over 2 700 medical cases successfully closed, and 97% of the parents we interviewed have declared they are very satissfied of this service. The project has a private sponsor for 2014 only.

For 2015 we are planning to continue the service in Cluj county, and extend it in 3 other locations: Bucharest (Romanian Capital city), Iași and Timișoara. For this, we need to raise 400 000 Eur to cover: technical mentenance, internet services and medical human resoursces.
