Peanut Gallery "The Re Shelling"

Peanut Gallery is an artist-run exhibiton and studio space in Chicago, specializing in showing ambitious new work by local emerging artists and connecting people with one another through workshops, screenings, artist talks and forums.  Our goal is to nurture a vibrant, inclusive creative communtiy, while encouraging questioning of established norms and good spirited mishief.  Peanut Gallery was started in 2010 and in 2014 had to close it doors, in those four years we had dozens of shows, helped many emerging artists get their foot in the door and created a close knit community of like minded thinkers.  After a short hiatus we want to re-open with your help. We have found a new space in Humboldt park that needs a little work.  Money that you donate will go to help start up costs, we lost many supplies when we closed, things that keep the gallery running smooth like paint, rollers, cleaning suplies and such.  Peanut was a big part of our lives and we like to think a big part of the many artists we showed and to the audiences that came to events and we hope to continue this.  Peanut Gallery Chicago
