Pat's Birthday Gift: A book!

I'm Pat.  I'm a husband in Portland, OR.

Being married isn't easy. Sometimes reality does not match expectations, and that can be tough.

For example, there have been times when the real amount of money I spent on books at Costco each month did not match my wife's expectations. And then we had to argue and make up, and waste a lot of time that could have been otherwise used for reading!

Luckily, my wife is a genius. She came up with a plan - if I only spend a certain amount on books each month, and don't go over, then everyone gets to be happy!

Here's the thing... I already blew my allowance for this month, before I realized Bernie Sanders' Our Revolution would be coming out. Luckily the 18th of this month (Nov) is my birthday. So I asked my dear sweet wife if we might make an exception, and buy a SECOND book this month, in celebration of my birth.

However, she cares too deeply for my long-term well being insofar as my learning to appreciate diciplined financial management. Or at least, I think that's what she meant when she said "HELL NO."

In conclusion, I'm not poor or sick, or doing anything cool like some other gofundme users... I'm just a man who wants to keep his wife happy each month, and if possible, to put my feet up and enjoy a certain book on my birthday. If that's something you can get behind, please consider hooking a brother up.
