Hello Everyone,
I have had multiple sclerosis, a progressively degenerative disease for 15years which has taken away my ability to walk.
I am raising money to help pay for Stem Cell and bone marrow treatment out West.
Since 2004 I have relied on an electric scooter to get around. At first I used it for long distances but over the years my ability to walk has decreased to nil. Now even standing up is a struggle.
About my treatment:
Stem cell surgery retrieves and grows your own stem cells to replace damaged ones to improve movement in the patient.
"There is exciting progress being made through innovative research related to the potential of many types of stem cells for both slowing MS disease activity and for repairing damage to the nervous system. With the urgent need for more effective treatments for MS, particularly for those with more progressive forms of the disease, we believe that the potential of all types of cell therapies must be explored. The Society is currently supporting 12 research projects exploring various types of stem cells, including cells derived from bone marrow, fat and skin, and has supported 68 stem cell studies over the past 10 years.
To ensure that no opportunity is wasted in our mission to end MS, the National MS Society has supported research for more than a decade into the potential of different types of stem cells, including cells derived from bone marrow."

Because I cannot travel by myself, I hope to raise enough money to bring someone with me for this surgery. I require assistance in all activities of daily living.
I need to go for treatment to repair my MS before it's too late.
The opportunity to have this treatment would be a dream come true!
