Help me volunteer in Nepal

In the year of 2015, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 devastated the country of Nepal and remote villages were left in shambles due to their location and poor government aid. Through GIVE (Growth International Volunteer Excursions), I will journey to one of these isolated villages, work together with others to help rebuild the homes of 29 families, and replace the feeling of despair in the citizens of that village with hope. GIVE allows people like me to travel to a foreign country, like Nepal, to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of people who are neglected due to a lack of government aid because of poor state of the country, but also being neglected by modernized countries.

Every donation I receive will go towards funding a 25-day trip to Nepal where I will not only aid the locals, but will also be immersed in their culture. I will get the opportunity to learn about the people of Nepal, their culture, and directly interact with it all. I will even be able to bring the knowledge I gain back to the communities at home.

I am from a family that is well off and does not require aid. But there are people in the world who suffer due to a lack of funds, attention, and/or government aid. I feel that it is my duty to travel to those places and give to those who are not as fortunate as myself. With every donation I receive, I will be a step closer to making a drastically positive change in the lives of the citizens of Paslang, Nepal and ultimately, a positive change in our world.
