Sophie's Nursing Volunteering Trip

Hi, I am currently a Student Children's Nurse in my first year of training at Huddersfield University.
In the Summer of 2016, for two weeks, I will be in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, one of the world’s poorest countries, volunteering in less developed local hospitals caring for critically ill children. These children suffer from such conditions as HIV and severe malnutrition.
To send me to Tanzania and support me whilst I’m there I need to raise £2000. I know the aim is high, however to achieve it I intend to be involved in fundraising events and any donations would be much appreciated.
This is an exciting challenge ahead of me, even though this volunteering work is only for a short period of time I aim to make a difference and all the experience I gain will enhance my future practice in my nursing career.
