Ordsall Community Arts Parade

This is a very special year for Ordsall Community Arts, as we celebrate 40 years of art projects with and for the community. The jewel in our crown is our Lantern Parade, which takes place every year in November. This year is a double celebration. Our Lantern Parade is 25 years old! The theme this year is the Ordsall Peacock, based on the Peacock sculpture that used to sit outside the old Ordsall High School, which we have renovated and will be bringing home to roost!


The parade will form the start of this process, and we really want to see it go off with a bang and be properly resourced. To this end, we'd really appreciate your help, in donating whatever you can to the cause, and as soon as you can! We have such a long history in Ordsall of community spirit and coming together to get things done, and now we need to flex that spirit to make sure this year, more than any other, we can really give our local kids and families an event to remember. Anything you can give will go towards the lanterns being made with groups of kids and families, fireworks for the end display and materials costs. Please dig deep, but even if you can only give £1, we would be very very grateful, and so will the kids.
