Operation Small Town-Wharton, TX

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, my family members in the small town of Wharton, TX have been greatly affected by the flood waters. Being a small town, Wharton is still waiting for assistance since most of the help thus far has gone to higher populated areas. My cousin, Lloyd Guerra, grew up in this small town.  His parents, Arnold and Delia Guerra, are retired teachers of the Wharton School District... many of the first responders and city officials had Mr. Guerra for class in High School.  Today, Mr. and Mrs. Guerra along with their many friends, neighbors and community have lost their homes and belongings to the terrible flooding from Huricane Harvey. My cousin, Lloyd Guerra, is gathering donations to help the small community of Wharton and will drive them out along with several friends and volunteers this weekend and in the coming weeks ahead.  I have helped by sending supplies and by asking friends on Facebook to send supplies but, ultimately, they are in need of money to do the most good for the people of Wharton. 
The funds you donate today will be directly used to help continue the rescue efforts of those stuck in their homes, help feed and fuel first responders and volunteers along with the community, and also help purchase necessities that the community members need for their dailiy lives (for example toilet paper, water, toiletries, etc.). 
These funds are needed immediately because this small town is in dire need of assistance.  I'm setting up this GoFundMe page to help the small town of Wharton and help others contribute financially to their efforts.  Though there's a lot of help going to the heavier populated areas such as Houston, small towns close to the Gulf are hurting.  It would mean so much to me for your help in assisting them... especially since my family members, Mr. and Mrs. Guerra, care SO much about their community along with the generations of students they have taught there and I know they would do anything they could if they were not also in this terrible situation.
