Thank you for visiting my page.
I am Mike Taylor, a photographic artist in Peterborough, Ontario Canada.  A few years back I started a personal assignment called The 20 Artists Project

It involves the photographing of 20 local artists and building a show with the images. This show is to help build support for the local arts community, and to further expose the work of these talented people.

The image you see here is of local furniture artisan, Rob Brown.  I've a good number of artists to photograph including painters John Climenhage, and printer George Raab.

The project involves a number of portraits of well known Peterborough area artists, with at least one showing of the works.  I am playing with the idea of pairing each portrait with one of the artist' pieces.  But that idea is tentative and could have major logistical problems.

Now that I have found a bit of time to get back to the project, I have learned that my computer hard drive is failing fast and will eventually completely die.  It could be a matter of hours, or days.  Nobody knows for sure.

Since I shoot with digital equipment and use the computer to do many things with the images, such as organize, edit and fine tune... a quality hard drive is extremely important.

My computer is only 3 years old, and otherwise performs flawlessly.  Sadly, it is beyond warranty so that avenue is no longer an option.  The money will go towards replacing a failing 1 terabyte drive with a new 2 terabyte drive with a 3 year warranty, and potentially an upgrade in memory; to speed up the photo processing workflow. The 20Artists Project, and consequent projects can not continue without this upgrade in equipment.

For those of you who are interested, here is how the upgrade will be done. HERE

By assisting with this campaign, you will be helping to support an aspiring photographic artist.  You also would be helping this artist produce an income to pay the bills and feed a small family.  As of June 21 I am a mere $65 away from my goal.

Your assistance would close that gap and and jumpstart this photographer' personal project.

Wouldn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

Any amount you could spare for this worthy cause is greatly appreciated.  Don't forget about all the good Karma that will be coming your way too.  Oooooh yaa!

Just $65 to go!

Thank you for helping with The 20Artists Project.
